Why I am running for The Sex Party
When I mention that I am running for The Sex Party, I always get a giggle. And why not? Sex should be fun right? Sex is a joyous and wonderful gift of nature. Unfortunately not everyone thinks so. We are told by the media and advertising that sex is only fun for, and meant for those who match a particular body type or income bracket. That's sad. What's even more sad and rather ironic is that many of those who match a particular body type or income bracket aren't having very good or very fun sex at all. They are too busy trying to maintain a particular body type or income bracket. I would like to change that.
Don't get me wrong. Having a secure financial future and taking care of one's health are commendable pursuits. In fact, sexuality is a major factor in one's overall health. But not all of us will ever get super rich or be a GQ model. So... what about the rest of us poor slobs? The answer is that EVERYONE is entitled to enjoy sexuality to the fullest... no matter how wealthy or "attractive". (Can anyone define "attractive" to me anyway?)
Take me for example. If by some stroke of divine intervention that I actually won my riding, it would definitely mean a raise in pay! I don't look like Brad Pitt... What I can tell you is that in spite of my shortcomings, I manage to have a pretty darn fulfilling sex life. I hope that with The Sex Party I can provide perspective and share some things I've learned. Hopefully this will help other people to create a solid foundation by which they can be informed, discover and enjoy their own sexuality to the fullest without guilt, without regret, without fear and, give themselves permission to do whatever they want in a safe, sane and consensual manner.
Cheers Everyone!
