February 2007 - Our New Website Launches
Greetings from The Sex Party. We have spent much of the last six months working on our new site. Thanks to the efforts of Edgard and others, the site is up. It is powered by open source, community-oriented Drupal software.
The new software is a great improvement on our original site and will be a key component in growing our organization.
What is new?
Public Sex Ezine
The centerpiece of the new site is this e-zine. It replaces The Tattler. Our editorial staff -John Ince, Liz Pade and Mary Lee – will combine to produce a post once or twice a week. We invite contributions pertaining to the politics of erotic life. If you want to participate in Public Sex, email us at info@thesexparty.ca.
Check out the new issue of Public Sex, which discusses the dispute between sex starved priests and Telus.
Sex-positive Blogs
Our software allows us to create blogs for people who want to produce regular posts about sex and politics. If you are interested, email us at info@thesexparty.ca, send us a sample of what you propose, and we will respond. Some of that content may be used in our Public Sex ezine.
Users who register at the site (which we require to prevent spam) can participate in our forums. We hope to generate some lively discussion about sex and politics.
Newsletter
Everyone who registers at the site can also subscribe to our email Newsletter (like the one you are reading right now.) If you do not want to register at the site, you can subscribe directly to the Newsletter on the Newsletter page. This Newsletter is also being sent to all people on our old mailing list. If you want to unsubscribe you can do so via the link at the bottom of the page, or via the unsubscribe box at our site.
Erotic Art
We support artistic erotic communication. Our front page shows a thumbnail of our gallery of erotic art. Full size images are also displayed in our gallery. If you are an erotic artist and want your material displayed, please email us.
Journalist or Legal Interns
We are looking for recent graduates or current students of journalism or law schools that want experience in the field of sex-positive activism. We don't pay anything, but we guarantee the work will be informative and rewarding.

Advertising
Our site attracts a significant amount of traffic. In cyberspace, traffic is worth money. After much internal debate we have decided, on a trial basis, to sell advertising on our site. Especially in the growth phase We need funds to carry on our operations. But we don’t want untasteful advertising content. Advertising may produce revenues. We will experiment with this. If you have any ideas please let us know.
